Life in Victorian Times

Queen Victoria reigned from 1937 to 1901. During that time, new inventions allowed the Victorians to develop railways and maritime transport and to build lots of factories. It was the Industrial Revolution.

During her reign, the British Empire was the largest empire in the world.

People left the country to work in big cities.
